Dear Families of South Slope/BCSD,
Next week is an exciting week at school and we wanted to share some dates of note with you:
**Monday, October 25th is “DEAR” Day (Drop Everything And Read). Wear your pajamas, bring your favourite book and a flashlight for reading in the dark, and be ready to drop everything and read throughout the day! Please note we are asking students not to bring in stuffies/pillows just yet, to reduce touching shared items that cannot be easily cleaned at school.
We will also be having our Pumpkin Patch this day, so please ensure you wear proper footwear and a warm jacket over your PJ’s as we will be outside!
**Wednesday, October 27th is our October PAC Meeting at 7pm on Zoom. Please email SouthSlope.PAC@burnabyschools.ca to register. Come one, come all!
**Friday, October 29th is Hallowe’en costume day, for those students who celebrate this occasion. As usual, please, no weapons of any kind. We look forward to seeing all the creative costumes in our school that day!
A reminder that tomorrow, Friday, October 22nd, is a Pro-D Day and students do not attend school.
