GOAL:  Using story to improve student achievement K-7 in reading comprehension 

 

Essential Question:  With the current pandemic in mind, how can we engage students to understand story as a source of joy? 
  • Primary – Improve student achievement in reading comprehension with a specific target group of primary students. Early intervention.  
  • Intermediate – Increasing reading comprehension for our intermediate students, with an emphasis on the skills required to make inferences and make connections when reading as well as comprehension thinking  
a)   Provide structures and implement initiatives that support early intervention for Primary students that are Not Yet Meeting (Emerging) or Approaching Expectations (Developing) in reading 
b)   Provide structures and implement initiatives that support intermediate students who are not yet meeting expectations in reading C/ C- / Emerging / Developing
