Halloween 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians:

This year, Halloween will look a bit different but we hope events that are planned will be fun and engaging for our students.  Here is some info regarding our Pumpkin Patch and events taking place on Fri., Oct. 30, the day before Halloween.

Pumpkin Patch – Oct. 26th

Many thanks to the PAC for donating the pumpkins this year for our pumpkin patch.  Students will be able to pick a small-sized pumpkin from the pumpkin patch located beside Room 201 on Monday, October 26.  Because of health and safety restrictions, parent volunteers are unfortunately not permitted this year.  Please have your students bring a bag to school to bring their pumpkin home.  Each classroom teacher will decide when this will happen.

Pajama Day! Oct. 26th

Attention: South Slope students:

DON’T FORGET Mon., Oct. 26th is also “Pajama Day”!  Students and staff can wear their pajama’s to school!

Students are welcome to wear their costumes to school on Fri., Oct. 30th  Please remember:

  1. No fake swords, guns, or weapons are allowed as part of their costume.
  2. Costumes should not pose a tripping hazard for your child.
  3. If a mask is part of the costume, children need to be able to see well enough to participate in regular classroom activities.

Other Activities

Each classroom teacher may be planning events within their own class.  They will be sending home further information around this very soon.  Please remember that if food is part of the celebration, it needs to be prepackaged items.
